The Giant Clam is essentially a really big, lazy rock that sometimes decides to open up wide to show off its colorful insides, kind of like nature’s version of a flashy wallet. It lounges on the sea floor, occasionally snagging a snack of sunlight and passing waves, while its shell could probably double as a kiddie pool. This underwater giant just hangs out, not really doing much except being enormous and occasionally giving scuba divers a reason to take pictures. If a clam was a couch potato, the Giant Clam would be the reigning champion!
