Shrimp

A shrimp is like a tiny, underwater insect wearing a shell and doing the swim dance. It has a body that looks like a little curved stick with legs and feelers, and it spends its life hanging out in the ocean, chilling among rocks and seaweed. With a color palette that ranges from pink to a sad brown, it’s basically a miniature crustacean that's a fan of hiding and scuttling away whenever something bigger approaches. When it gets cooked, it turns into a fancy little snack that people dip into sauce and pretend they're eating something fancy. So, in summary, it's a small, shell-wearing, ocean-crawling critter that makes a splash in the culinary world when it takes a hot bath.
